Moderation Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Moderation is how we keep Mami Coker fair and safe. This page explains what we look at, what we can do, and how you can ask us to look again.

1. What We Moderate

  • Provider profiles: name, description, category and neighborhood.
  • Listings: title, description and price range.
  • Photos that providers upload.
  • Reviews (see section 7).

2. How It Works

Mami Coker is run by a small team. We do not check everything before it appears. We look at content when someone reports it, when we are looking into a complaint, or when we notice a problem ourselves. Today all moderation is done by people, not by automatic filters.

We judge content against our Code of Conduct and Terms of Use, and we apply the same rules to everyone.

3. What We May Do

  • Ask you to fix something, and give you the chance to.
  • Change or remove content that breaks our rules, such as a misleading description or an inappropriate photo.
  • Remove a single photo.
  • Remove a listing.
  • Remove a profile and all its listings.

We try to be fair and proportionate. A small mistake usually gets a request to fix it. Serious problems, such as fraud, threats, harassment or anything illegal, can lead to immediate removal without a warning.

4. Telling You

When we act on your content, we will try to tell you what we did and why, using the phone number on your profile, unless there is a safety or legal reason not to.

5. Asking Us to Look Again

If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected] with your name, the profile, and what you want us to reconsider. We will look at it again and reply with our decision.

6. Reporting Content

To report a profile, listing or photo, email [email protected] with a link to it (or the provider's name and neighborhood) and what is wrong. Our Complaints Policy explains what happens next.

7. Reviews

Anyone can rate a provider from 1 to 5 stars and leave a short review on their profile. A review only appears after we have checked it.

  • We check every review before it is published, and we may look at it again if someone reports it.
  • Providers cannot review their own profile.
  • We will not hide a review just because it is negative.
  • We may hide a review that is fake or not from a real customer, abusive or offensive, not about the service, contains personal details, or was written by someone with an interest, such as the provider or a competitor.
  • Instead of hiding a review, we may edit it to remove personal details, such as a phone number, without changing what it says.
  • A hidden review is kept on record, not deleted, and we can show it again if we find we were wrong.

If you think a review about you is unfair, or that we hid a review wrongly, you can ask us to look again (see section 5).
